resigned, or does not exist, you might say, though I am 40 and struggling with lots of things: gaining further employment as a teacher and researcher; completing my doctoral research; my identity as a worker and family man; and my membership of Shifting Ground or not, and more. Nevertheless, I am still interested in applying my experience and understanding of organisations and work in ways that can assist or encouragepeople to further develop their own resistance to what these things oftenimpose upon them as organisational members or their clients, also inchanging these things for the better.  I've been a motor mechanic, care assistant in the NHS, teacher and researcher. I'm still fascinated by the empowering influences people involved in direct actions of all sorts can carry into yer typical organisations like hospitals, schools and factories.  I enjoy arguing the toss, football, subversion (arty or otherwise), being local, good comedy, DJing, woods fields and rivers, my kids and my friends.
