| Organising events In our experience with groups or organisations, it is often surprisingly useful simply to organise a weekend or a series of meetings, professionally facilitated, where activists (and selected others) gather away from their normal daily responsibilities and reflect collectively on their experiences. Building on the success of Talkshop: Radical Environmental Movements and DiY Culture, we and activists have recognised the value of such gatherings. We intend to organise further such initiatives and imagine the composition of the gatherings to be quite varied. Some will involve people who normally would not talk to each other at length, and others might create networks between people who use the same general discourse, but don’t gather together outside narrow activist or organisational circles.
