| Dr Colin Brown I am a lecturer in the department of behaviour in organisations in the Management School at Lancaster University.Originally educated in psychology and industrial relations, I have been at Lancaster for over 20 years. I have been involved in research on work systems design, the cultural authority of science in management thinking and its influence upon attitudes to environmental issues, and, most recently, the current enthusiasm for evolutionary psychological explanations of organisational behaviour. I am heavily engaged in critical management education, which allows me to combine innovative learning approaches with a concern to understand the inexorable rise of managerialism into so many areas of contemporary life. |
