| Anne Chapman I am interested in transforming society, and in thinking about how this should be done. I started out as a scientist, worked for eight years for an environmental consultancy then in 1997 resigned to do an MA in environmental philosophy at Lancaster University. I am now self-employed doing a wide range of activities, from assessment of contaminated land to helping community groups oppose developments. I am involved in local campaigning groups in Lancaster and am a member of the board of Friends of the Earth (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). I enjoy philosophy so much I have just started a PhD on assessment of technology - I think we need to think much bigger than risk assessment. I am a Quaker, cyclist and (occasional) rock climber. |
